The IPA Lucie Awards in New York were an eye opener, they really know how to put on a show, red carpet, champagne, paparazzi, the lot. I’d entered a number of images and was really chuffed to be named Professional Advertising Photographer of the Year. This put me in the running to be International Photographer of the Year but I missed out on that one. The most impressive thing for me was that they had Lou Reed on stage handing out Awards. Good show.
